William Kabogo Concedes Defeat
Kiambu governor William Kabogo has conceded defeat in the Kiambu gubernatorial race as preliminary results from the IEBC indicating that Kabete MP Ferdinard Waititu will be the next Kiambu governor.
Waititu has so far garnered 737,795 votes (78.17%) in 1,886 out of 1,963 polling stations, while Kabogo has198,277 votes (21.01%)
"I wish to thank my campaign team for their tireless efforts in the last several months. It is time to move on," said Kabogo.
"I wish to thank the people of Kiambu for the opportunity to serve them in my first term."
