ODM Leaders Say "Too Angry and Too Bitter" Ruto Must be Stopped from Becoming President

A section of ODM leaders has accused Deputy President William Ruto of orchestrating Sunday’s chaos in Kenol, Murang’a which left two people dead and scores others injured.

Led by National Assembly Minority Whip Junet Mohamed, the leaders condemned the violence and called for tough actions against the perpetrators.

Addressing journalists in Nairobi on Monday, Junet described DP Ruto as too angry and too bitter to become the President of Kenya.

“Ruto is running a dangerous narrative of hustler that intends to divide this country into the haves and the have nots. Grouping the hustlers is in preparation of anarchy in this country,” said Junet, who was flanked by several ODM MPs.

“Ruto is a bitter man…he is fueling chaos with his money, he must be stopped…we condemn the violence meted out on the people in Murang’a, the violence was initiated in the name of Ruto…Ruto is too angry, too bitter and too entitled to be the President, unless we want to spoil this country…He thinks he is owed Presidency.”

Junet also asked Interior CS Fred Matiang’i and Inspector-General of Police Hillary Mutyambai to investigate DP Ruto over alleged misuse of State resources including bodyguards attached to him to cause violence.

On his part, ODM national chairman and Suba South MP John Mbadi claimed Ruto is planning to cause another violence during his planned visit to Kisumu.

The leaders further hit out at churches and religious leaders for receiving what he termed as “blood money’ from politicians.

“Ruto is a violent man, we are aware of the mayhem in Murang’a, we are aware that he is planning another round of violence in Kisumu…We will not allow it…The church should not accept blood money, it’s the least we can demand,” said Mbadi.

On Sunday, Mutyambai ordered the arrest of Ruto allies, MPs Alice Wahome (Kandara) and Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu) for allegedly hiring goons who caused the chaos ahead of Ruto’s visit to Kenol for a fundraiser at AIPCA Church.

Ruto is a very dangerous man. He feels that every Kenyan owes him some kind of debt that we need to pay back. What happened in muranga is just a small piece of what to come. He is not fit to be a leader!

It's interesting how we are quick in finger pointing, and also avoiding facts, even when they are readily available. The facts remains that a senior official ordered Kandara police to stay away from the event. It's common knowledge as to who in the police leadership can give such an order.

Unfortunately the church will continue to accept Ruto’s blood money because the clergy have become tainted and bought with the blood of this world! It is what it is in the today’s world where money is the destructor of the faithful servants of God! We need a revival from above!

We all know ( exception of devils) that the deep state is perpetrating violence. They have tried it in Meru, in Kisii, Coast now Murang’a. And they are planning to keep doing it whenever Ruto goes to meet the peaceful people. The deep state hires goons to disrupt peaceful Ruto meetings then they turn to blame him.
When the whole nation turns burning the leaders of this deep state will be held accountable. We are watching and keeping records!
There’s freedom of religion in the country. Freedom of movement , speech and association. And the government- deep state- is tramping on all these!

How come you have not bothered at all to tell us all those involved in burning alive the people who took refuge in Kiambaa Church located in Eldoret in 2007? These people thought that the "fake foreign god that they believed will protect them!
