Family Demands Justice as Two Brothers Die Mysteriously After Arrest Past Curfew Hours

A family in Embu County is seeking answers following the mysterious death of two brothers.

The bodies of Benson Njiru (22) and his younger brother Emanuel Mutura (19) were found at Embu Level 5 Hospital mortuary after they were allegedly arrested by police for flouting COVID-19 protocols.

The two were reportedly apprehended by officers from the Manyatta police station on Sunday after they were found selling pig meat at Kianjakoma trading center past curfew hours.

The deceased’s family claims the police officers took them in circles before informing them that their colleagues in Runyenjes had collected bodies of two young men and took them to the morgue.

Njiru was a student at Don Bosco Technical Institute while Mutura was studying at Kabarak University.

On Thursday, the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) deployed investigators from its Nairobi headquarters to investigate the death of the two siblings.

The investigators will collaborate with their counterparts in Meru to unravel the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

They’re saying the police shot Mutura first.
His brother , who was running away with their friends stopped and went back to check on his brother.
They show him too.

Very sad.
The police must be held accountable.
How do you kill people for because of a contagious diesease.

MuKenya must now explain why the “US” makamburu police killed the two brothers. He should also explain when the law was amended to make flouting of COVID protocols a capital offense punishable by death.Njiriri and Mutura’s relatives must revenge for their loved ones.

Postmortem revealed the brothers were killed using a blunt object.Police brutality for nothing is approved SITHOLE CIC of Kenya,Muigai.I wonder whether tukashia like Kimanzi-Kamazi and Al Shabaab,Ali who bark Uhuru juu know the same fate awaits them the moment they land in Kenya.Uhuru should ask kina Zuma and Bashir how live is at EstCourt and Korbar prisons respectively.

How do you get a capital punishment over flouting a curfew, not stealing, but attempting to earn a living. Terrible! They act as gods unto themselves.

This is the same as " George FLoyd", and many others in America. Our Citizens in Kenya are facing the same fate. Time is almost here for all traces of colonialism, colonial structures and systems to go including names, churches, police stations, foreign languages and any colonial laws left.- Slavery, colonialism, neo- colonialism is on its way out; those who hold on to it are also on their way out of Kenya!!
Kenya will be the first country to enforce God's law as man's law fails- let us keep watching this space as they ( police keep killing God's children)
We are almost there: " The darkest hour of the night is just before dawn".
The time of the sword is almost over. The water will put out the fire.
I think its better to die of Covid than to die in the hands of colonial systems- " Police".
