Raila: Criminals Started Feeding Election Results into IEBC Servers Before Voting Day
National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga claims that criminals started feeding results into the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) servers before the election date (August 8th).
Speaking in a press briefing in Nairobi on Thursday, the former Prime Minister said that technology experts unraveled the malpractice from the logs given to them by the electoral commission.
“ Criminals started posting results in the IEBC servers as early as August 7, this our experts found out from the logs given by IEBC to them when the body refused to open the servers,” Odinga said.
“This is what we have been saying that nearly 10,000 form 34As were altered in the server using password of IEBC chairman, Wafula Chebukati,” he added.
Raila further alleged that some of the people who intruded the IEBC server before the polling day included key Jubilee party agents.
The Orange Democratic Movement leader maintained that some of the leaders declared winners by the commission on 8th of August were not democratically elected, terming them Vifaranga vya computer.
Last week, the Supreme Court declared the results of last month's presidential poll "invalid, null and void" and ordered the election be re-run within 60 days.
Raila said that a leaked Memo from IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati demanding answers on the bungled August 8th poll vindicated him on allegation that his victory was stole.
