NASA to Hold Raila's 'Swearing-in' at Uhuru Park Grounds

John Wanjohi Jan 04, 2018

The much anticipated inauguration of National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka has been scheduled for end of January, a special planning committee has said.

The people's assembly steering committee chaired by NASA strategist David Ndii said the Assumption of Office team is making final preparations on the swearing-in ceremony.

"The swearing in of the NASA leader is well on course and the Assumption committee, to be named soon, will announce the exact details," Ndii told a press briefing in Nairobi on Thursday.

On President Kenyatta's legitimacy, Ndii said: "What power do you have if people turned their back on you at Kasarani stadium?" he said, in reference to low turn out during President Uhuru's installation on November 28th at Kasarani Stadium.

He added: "The country we have now is not working. We must reconstitute Kenya afresh."

The coalition plans to ‘swear in’ the two at Uhuru Park grounds in Nairobi after a series of rallies in several counties beginning this Sunday in Kakamega county.

"It is going to be the biggest gathering since independence," Ndii said.

“The details of the program and nature of events to be held in Kakamega will be disclosed by the NASA leadership in Western Kenya.”
