A recent coordinated effort by law enforcement has led to the successful recovery of a stolen Subaru Forester belonging to Hosea Kiprono, a prominent figure in the Kenyan-Australian community and Chairman of Kitwek South Australia.
The vehicle was reported stolen from Kiprono's residence in Craigmore on January 14, in connection with a theft-related incident that occurred shortly thereafter. The police became aware of the stolen vehicle after it was observed leaving a Smithfield service station on the night of January 16 without paying for fuel. An investigation confirmed that the Subaru had been taken from Kiprono’s property.
In response, law enforcement dispatched both ground units and the aerial support unit, PolAir, to locate and apprehend the suspects. PolAir effectively tracked the vehicle as it sped through northern suburbs, including Elizabeth Downs, Smithfield, Blakeview, and Craigmore. The pursuit culminated when the vehicle struck a kerb at the intersection of Craigmore Road and Adams Road, inflicting considerable damage to its front right tyre.
During the incident, six occupants, aged between 13 and 17, attempted to escape but were quickly arrested. Among those taken into custody was a 15-year-old boy from Craigmore, who is believed to have been driving the vehicle. All six individuals now face charges related to the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, with the supposed driver also charged with breach of bail and unauthorized driving.
They have been granted bail and are slated to appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court on February 28. The stolen vehicle was subsequently towed from the scene. Following the recovery, Kiprono expressed his gratitude on social media, thanking law enforcement for their diligent efforts and the community members who provided valuable tips and support.
He notes the significance of collective vigilance in enhancing community safety, recognizing the impact of cooperative engagement in achieving positive results.

Who cares? Is this really news?
This is stupid and dumb to publish such a story. Who cares? Cars get stolen every day.
