NASA Maintains it Will Swear-in Raila as President

National Super Alliance (NASA) Chief Executive Officer Norman Magaya says that swearing-in Raila Odinga as President is still an option for the opposition.

In a statement on Monday after the Supreme Court upheld the reelection of President Uhuru, Magaya said that NASA has several options to explore which will be communicated "when the right time comes".

“As I have said, we have a range of options in our hands and swearing in Hon. Raila is one of our options of the table. It has been considered robustly and I can tell you that when the right time comes, the country will be informed,” said Norman Magaya.

He continued: “Jubilee will go on with what they believe is right for them to do and NASA will go with what we believe is right for us to do. We’re enjoying the best momentum of our time at the moment. We have Kenyans solemnly behind us, so the question of losing momentum not there."

Speaking to the Star, former Machakos senator Johnstone Muthama said that they will proceed to swear-in the opposition leader.

“We are going ahead with the swearing-in, as planned,” Muthama told the Star.

In a statement on behalf of Raila Odinga on Monday, his long-term advisor Salim Lone maintained that Nasa will not recognize President Uhuru despite Supreme Court verdict that upheld his reelection.

“We in NASA had repeatedly declared before this Supreme Court ruling today that we consider this government to be illegitimate and do not recognize it."

"This position has not been changed by the Court ruling, which did not come as a surprise. It was a decision taken under duress. We do not condemn the Court, we sympathize with it."

"As such, the Court’s decision today could not possibly legitimize an illegitimate government whose president had publicly accused the Court of having carried out a “coup” by annulling his election and threatened to “fix” the justices once he was back in power,” read the statement by Salim Lone.

Right! Poor souls like Raila shall INHERIT the Kingdom of Heaven; and rich souls like Uhuru and GEMA shall inherit the Kingdom of Hell. This is why the CURSE of Death follows GEMAns in Diaspora (with GEMAns being 11 of 12 Kenyans who die in Diaspora). And they will NEVER learn a Lesson and Repent.

O.K! Let's go! Now, I have been accused of being one sided, so I will list a few things I actually like about Raila (gulp!!).

1. His everlasting physical youth (the man is in his 70's!).
2. His stamina, evidenced by the energy shown when globe hopping/trotting in a matter of hours.
3. His ability to defy time, evidenced by his ever black hair without any trace of grey (wink!).
4. His ability to put on blinkers in time of crisis and march on with his agenda, (who cares if my daughter, sister are sick, nor if my son is dead?). Duka stays open as usual.
5. His ability to churn out contingency plans with the speed of lighting to address every arising challenge (even if they sound bonkers).
People, he is a genius on these matters, lets give him that!

Imara, see? I have taken on board your advice of considering the my neighbors feelings. Now, moving on, when is the swearing going to be? You going to attend? I will be watching with squinted eyes!

Some people have seen tenders go bye bye and these are the last kicks. Has nothing about Uhuto's illegitimacy but everything to do with the goodies they had promised their financiers.

Master of doom and darkness Raila Odinga will dig himself into a deeper if he continues to listen to these nonsensical naive advisors like Muthama. The constitution is clear, you lose, then you go home. You win, you go to State House.

You are right, it is unfair for the Diasporans who are not based in East Coast or even Kenyans in Kenya to have to wait for updates in EST time. Also I know Wordpress is cheap these days and updatinga webpage and allow us to even contact members in here, tujuane, we could even form a new political party eish., that is how you create a community. Mwakilishi are you listening?

Finally RAO will be president and we can have peace from @Doreen, @Guest1 etc. My only hope is that he will be a better president than he has been an opposition leader!!

Right on point Ben. He has been a very poor opposition leader and I doubt he mingles with the opposition in the countries he travels to learn something new. He is just a wanna be and that has been his downfall.

OMOSH teargas … (not verified)     Tue, 11/21/2017 @ 10:04am

Rao's lieutenants and cabinet sycophants auctioned their souls and minds way back; and so they will advance all sorts of dreams and lies to keep face of their master. If you have had to listen to the tales of a person whose property was recently auctioned, there is always that defiance tone, grand secret plans and vows to recover their loot one way or another. Political bankruptcy like any other form of bankruptcy stirs up negative emotions, loss of identity and opens a floodgate of delusional beliefs. The idea of swearing in rao is as seductive as a whirlwind but it is anchored on no known or unknown reality. Our learned elites are selling clouds to supporters and taking away their reality, sanity and livelihoods-who doesn't know that the clouds will drift by in a moment. To those obsessed with this mirage, answer to yourself a sequence of hypothetical "thens" 4 or 5 times. Something like "swear in rao", then..., then...., then...., and then.... By the fifth "then" the absurdity of it all will hit home. Rao knows better than that and will not ascend to that slippery slope of allegories peddled by normans as an option.

Ngai! I feel sorry for this sycophants, to be relevant they have to say anything, but I don't think they are that stupid to try such a thing, they can only dream and imagine what would have been...

njai (not verified)     Tue, 11/21/2017 @ 12:45pm

My prediction going forward: Raila will retire from active politics, Kalonzo will join Jubilee, Orengo and Muthama will go to jail, Mudavadi and Wetangula will almost kill each other fighting to be Luyhia kingpin, Joho will start ''working with the government''. Kenya will be the best place to be.

Imara (not verified)     Tue, 11/21/2017 @ 01:21pm

@Sukari. Thanks a lot. Keep up your new objectivity.

Sasa, nakuomba uendelee na msimamo huu wako mpya. Jameni, tuache matusi! " Nchi yetu ya Kenya, tunayoipenda, tuwe tayari kuilinda."

Sukari (not verified)     Tue, 11/21/2017 @ 07:07pm

Jamani Imara...don't go all Aden Duale on me, lest we are banned from Mwakilishi. On a serious note, we are good, lakini tulia na hizo siasa zako deep. Maisha mafupi bwana, hawa leaders don't give a toss if we cry or laugh. Unfortunately, they stir emotions in us akin to none other.

Imara (not verified)     Tue, 11/21/2017 @ 08:21pm

@Sukari: Asante sana. Umeugusa moyo wangu. Usiku mwema au mchana mwema popote ulipo. Nakutakia kila la heri. Baadaye!

MaragA (not verified)     Wed, 11/22/2017 @ 11:12am

It's only mountains that stand defiant. Humans like sukari and Imara can surprise us by straddling the ideological boundaries and show us there is hope...
