Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore Gives Update of His Health Status

Safaricom Chief Executive Officer Bob Collymore, who has reportedly been receiving specialized treatment in London, United Kingdom for the last few weeks, has given an update on his heath.

In a circular to company's employees in late October, Safaricom chairman Nicholas Ng’ang’a announced that Collymore had taken a leave for a "number of months" to seek specialized treatment for unspecified illness.

“On behalf of the board, management and the entire Safaricom community, I wish Bob quick recovery and look forward to him resuming his duties as soon as the doctors allow him to do so,” he said.

In a tweet on Christmas eve, the mobile service provider's boss confirmed he was doing well. Collymore made the revelations while replying to a tweet by @kwanjohi who had enquired about his health status.

“I’m doing very well. Thanks for asking and a Happy Christmas to you and yours,” tweeted Collymore.

Reacting to Collymore's tweet, Nairobi County Deputy Governor, Polycarp Igathe said: “Glad to hear!!!! Been praying for you & your family & wishing you well. Have an awesome Christmas."

Does MWAKILISHI Editor want to deny for Collymore/SAFARICOM that they don't charge if somebody called with Whatsapp service which should be free?
