Nairobi Preacher Spends His Own Cash to Fix a Road in Kayole Estate after Gov't Laxity
A Nairobi clergyman has used money from his own pocket to rehabilitate a road in his area after years of neglect by the government.
Pastor Godfrey Migwi, the head of House of Hope Ministries in Kayole, says he made the decision after the County government of Nairobi ignored numerous calls by residents to improve the state of the road.
Migwi is a well-known critic of the government and was recently quoted urging President Kenyatta to stop taking more loans from China.
He says he has made several trips to City Hall in a bid to push Governor Mike Sonko's administration to fix the road but his cry has fell on deaf ears.
“Making our Home area a better place bila CDF ama msaada wa serikali for the glory of God, msaada wangu watoka kwa Yesu. You can use whaou’ve to make your neighbours happy. Change starts with you. One step at a time. You can’t lead people with a greedy heart,” writes Pastor Godfrey Migwi on Facebook.

hehehehe pastor migwi using his money or tithe or offerings money?????this is what is supposed to b hapoening pple wanting to change their surburbs.One thing i admire about white pple is they take responsibility in their neighbourhoods churches instead of yapping n begging all the time.please walk around wazungus suburbs they r organised its clean coz they will collect gabages n laen their lawn.Then walk to our black panthers surburbs they dont give a fut yet their young pple r idol sitting on the gates/streets waiting fir the Lord Jesus to fall from jerusalem n help them.The churches is ment to take care of the needy n areas surrounding it?Yes i kniw we pay taxes but responsible residents or pple take the initiative too.The cash collected from the tithes n offeings is to build the church financially n help the pple but mapastors wengi niwakora n yet they collect millions monthly nakazi yao nikununua jets n millions dollar houses like kathy kiuna?Let me stop there.Otherwise Pastor migwi thumbs up for good job done.
