'I Choose Akothee': Martha Karua Picks Singer Akothee over DP William Ruto in Twitter Quiz

Former Gichugu Member of Parliament Martha Karua has excited Kenyans online after choosing singer Esther Akoth alias Akothee over Deputy President William Ruto.

This comes after a Twitter user identified as Ben Ogola posted a photo comparing Akothee and Ruto's recent visits to Turkana County.

Ogola asked Kenyans on Twitter to say who between the singer and the politician is more charitable.

“Consider these two. The lady, Akothee, is considered the greatest sinner, she doesn’t deny it. No church in Kenya associates with her," tweets Ogola.

He adds: “The man, William Ruto, is considered the most holy; he even proclaims it at any given chance. Every church in Kenya is associated with him."

In the photo, Akothee is seen helping distribute relief food to hunger-stricken residents. This was after she mobilized tones of food and water for Turkana people, who were facing starvation a few weeks ago.

On the other hand, DP Ruto is having a chat with some evidently impoverished residents, including children. 

Karua was one of the social media users who commented on Ogola's tweet. In her response, Karua has noted: “I choose Akothee.”

A majority of other users have also picked Akothee over Mr. Ruto.
