Raila Demands State Funerals for Supporters Killed on Friday

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has demanded for President Uhuru Kenyatta and the government to accord state funerals to fifteen of his supporters killed during the chaos that occurred during his return from the US on Friday.
Addressing the press at Okoa Kenya offices in Nairobi on Saturday, Raila claimed that President Uhuru is intentionally breeding an atmosphere of fear ahead of the vital ruling by Supreme Court judges on the petition challenging his reelection.
"It is so unfortunate; we want to condole with all the families of the relatives. We are all mourning as a country for losing such young innocent lives to a state that has no sense to protect its citizens."
"None of you will be forgotten. You did not die in vain. You sacrificed your lives for the cause of democracy as it gave you the freedom to choose your leaders and determine the direction of your country,” he said.
However, in a statement on Friday evening, police spokesman George Kinoti said that only five people died and refuted claims that security forces were involved.
"We are however aware that sections of the mobs accompanying the NASA convoy, looted property and five (5) persons were killed by stoning in different incidences after having been caught stealing by enraged crowds. Two were stoned along Landies Road, two next to country bus station and one along Racecourse Road. Sadly, these incidences occurred before the Police arrived at the various scenes. All these incidences are under investigation," part of the statement read.

Baba, what have you being smoking? Have you seen what your "supporters" are doing to other people's property? If your said supporters tried what they are doing in the streets of Nairobi ... stoning other people's cars, burning cars/trucks n buildings, looting n raping women etc. If they did that anywhere else in the world, there wouldnt be 15 of them dead, there would be hundreads of them shot by police. You just came from the US baba, tell any of your supporters to try the stoning thing in America n see how the police would react. They would shoot them dead without giving them even a warning shot. Its time you told them to stop. Otherwise kama mbaya mbaya, n soon many more may die. Peace Kenya.... sasa ngoja usikie matusi kutoka kwa kina Dorren.

Raila, your are the master of doom and darkness as far as peace loving Kenyans are concerned. All the dead are your responsibility and you should pay for it. You have your own kids; and if they believe in your cause, you put them on the front line so that they can pay the price for you. Stop sacrificing other peoples children. You prey on innocent, poor and low intelligence Kenyans to fight for no cause for you. Why?

Raila- this is not the time to start making demands to families that are mourning. What is important to these people is peace in their hearts. It's not about a Fancy funeral. This is so dramatic. Always fighting even in unnecessary areas. I would ask like the person above, don't we have other good news to read rather than reading about Raila.
Raila, you are the cause of these deaths. You are inciting the poor and illiterate people. Is this fair that they have to be killed whereas you can avoid it?
What is in this president chair that you so much yearning to have and to keep the country in a stand still? Seems like you have nothing to do and you enjoy chaotic life and to see a broken nation.

At the risk of sounding insensitive due to Raila's comments,I say that it is unfortunate that 5 lives were lost. But to say that Jubilee is not protecting its citizens is very irresponsible. If that were the case, believe me there would have been more than 5 deaths.
Personally, I think demanding state funeral for those who were killed is going too far.Investigation is not even done yet to find out what happened for all we know they could have been breaking the law as they cops have said.
For Raila to invoke state funeral,he is just steering up emotions. He knows who usually gets state funeral. These deaths occurred not in any state capacity,or official duty.

When is Raila going to realize his ploys are so transparent and it does not take much to see through his scheming mind? It is obvious UhuRuto would never benefit from the death of this innocent people and why would Raila accuse them of being responsible? The only person who stands to benefit from these deaths is Raila and why he was at the scene to condemn the killings even before the bodies were cold. He invoked ICC and asked them to come arrest UhuRuto and now he is calling for a state funeral to further bring attention to an act that looks more like a Raila half baked signature move in which the dead were selected from multiple tribes to incite those tribes to rise in anger against UhuRuto, trigger a civil war and then he Raila comes in as the savior who calls for ceasefire so he can get Nusu Boflo... All this for power that he could not get legitimately via ballot
