Ruto's Iconic 2022 Campaign Hub Gets Major Facelift as 2027 Race Begins

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has unveiled a refurbished Hustler Centre in Nairobi, positioning it as the party’s main headquarters for planning and coordinating its campaign ahead of the 2027 General Election.

UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar toured the redesigned facility and said it would serve as a central hub for campaign planning, mobilisation and coordination. The headquarters, which was central to President William Ruto’s 2022 campaign, has been upgraded to host strategy meetings, outreach programmes and other party activities.

UDA officials said the centre will support Kenya Kwanza’s re-election campaign while promoting the government’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA). During the visit, Omar met Lands Principal Secretary Nixon Korir to discuss how the government’s development agenda could be communicated more effectively to different communities.

Korir said he was confident President Ruto would secure a second term, citing investment in infrastructure, affordable housing, agriculture and job creation as evidence of the administration’s development priorities. The refurbished Hustler Centre is intended to strengthen the party’s campaign organisation while supporting its broader political messaging.

At the same time, President Ruto’s allies have stepped up grassroots mobilisation in Western and Nyanza regions. Senior Kenya Kwanza leaders, including Farouk Kibet and Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot, have toured Nyamira and Kakamega counties, combining political engagement with community empowerment initiatives.

Speaking during a choir empowerment event in Kitutu Masaba, Kibet said the government remained committed to equitable development and that direct engagement with residents helped strengthen public trust and improve policy delivery. In Kakamega, leaders highlighted ongoing government projects and urged residents to support President Ruto’s re-election campaign.

The refurbishment of the Hustler Centre and the increased grassroots activity reflect UDA’s preparations for the 2027 General Election. The party is presenting its record in government as the basis of its campaign, arguing that its development programmes demonstrate its commitment to national progress.
