NASA to Announce Way forward in Five Days Following Supreme Court Decision

The National Super Alliance (NASA) has called on its supporters to remain calm and peaceful, after the Supreme Court upheld President Uhuru Kenyatta’s October 26th repeat presidential election victory.

Through his official Twitter handle minutes after the Supreme Court issued its ruling, NASA Chief Executive Officer Norman Magaya indicated that the opposition coalition will be announcing way forward to its Supporters in five days.

"We can see it before it happens. Refused to validate a sham election on 26.10.17 and refused to legitimize the charade through SCOK. We remain masters of our own destiny. In 5 days we will get there," Magaya tweeted.

“NASA never participated in the election nor SCOK process. NASA therefore has no comment on the decision rendered today. NASA will proceed with its plan. Climaxing in 5 days,” said Magaya.

The Supreme Court judges unanimously dismissed the two petitions challenging president Uhuru's victory for lack of merit.

“Having carefully considered the above issues, the specific prayers in every petition as well as the Constitution and applicable laws, the court has unanimously determined that the petitions are not merited,” ruled the Supreme Court.

In another statement issued by NASA leader Raila Odinga's advisor Salim Lone, the opposition outfit said the apex court decision does not change its stand on President Uhuru's re-election.

“We in Nasa had repeatedly declared before this Supreme Court ruling today that we consider this government to be illegitimate and do not recognise it,” Lone said. “This position has not been changed by the court ruling, which did not come as a surprise. It was a decision taken under duress. We do not condemn the court, we sympathise with it.”

"As such, the court’s decision today could not possibly legitimise an illegitimate government whose president had publicly accused the court of having carried out a 'coup' by annulling his election and threatened to 'fix' the justices once he was back in power," Lone charged.

How can the destiny of a people be pegged on these short term promises of "major declarations". What way forward can be determined every week? what good can possibly come out of theses erratic "plans". Life, faith and resources are being eroded through these ego-driven initiatives. Even perishable tomatoes have a longer life span than these canaan plans. Haraka karaka haina baraka ndugu zanguni, let there be devil's advocates among nasarites to question the necessity of all these perpetual and costly sacrifices.

Raila is on a continuous mission of impoverishment of his constituents by abject use of either their ignorance or deliberate use of intellectual deceit to the entity that went school. So far he has succeeded in marking his tribal lines. He has established a resource of cult within a culture where his followers don't resonate with their own wishful thinking but always have to follow ( blindly). If we assume Raila was President today, there's very little he can do to his tribal zone if only he has to corruptly go against the law. There's so much he can do even today- which he doesn't- that he can make a difference within his tribal region or the whole country. I say this with pride because this Raila has record we can all refer to. He just wants a name and take care of his own interests. You will be fooled to believe a biblical Joshua is on the makes!.
