President Kenyatta Names Noordin Haji as the New Director of Public Prosecutions

Noordin Haji has been nominated by President Kenyatta as the new Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) to succeed Keriako Tobiko, who was appointed Cabinet Secretary for Environment.
The President picked Haji from a list of three applicants shortlisted by the DPP selection panel following last week's interview. Others in the list were Lucy Kambuni and Jacob Nyakundi.
Haji is the son of Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji and has been working at the National Intelligence Service (NIS) for several years. Until his nomination on Tuesday by President Uhuru, Haji has been operating as a senior director at the Intelligence body.
President Kenyatta also announced he had submitted the name of Paul Kihara for the position of Attorney- General to the National Assembly for vetting.
"I have conveyed to the National Assembly the nomination for vetting and approval of Justice Paul Kihara Kariuki as Attorney General; and Noordin Mohamed Haji as Director of Public Prosecutions," President Uhuru said in a tweet.

Ok. Thanx @luka for the setting the record right. I was so impressed by that man. Am sure he's in a good spot...wouldn't be surprised if he too is in security.
