Azimio leader Raila Odinga is expected to make a significant announcement regarding ongoing bipartisan negotiations.
Sources suggest that President William Ruto's team is obstructing the bipartisan talks, prompting Mr Odinga to hold a four-hour crisis meeting on Tuesday. The meeting discussed the coalition's involvement with the ruling alliance and attendees comprised coalition officials, negotiations team members and technical team members. Speculations indicate that Mr Odinga may need President Ruto to meet new demands soon.
The talks team briefed the coalition that the ruling alliance team may be taking orders from external sources, making it difficult to move forward without consulting those sources first. The negotiation teams initially had the goal of concluding negotiations in 60 days, but there have been no advancements in any of the items on the agenda. During the meeting, the Azimio leaders disclosed that some technical team meetings were cancelled due to the Kenya Kwanza team being unavailable.
The opposition leaders now warn that they may withdraw from the talks if President Ruto's side does not commit to expediting the negotiations. The meeting also addressed the dismissive comments made by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua regarding the talks. Gachagua stated over the weekend that the 2022 presidential election results should not be up for negotiation.
Another meeting is scheduled for Friday, but the agenda is unknown. Substantive agenda items were not discussed during Monday's negotiation team meeting. According to Ichung'wah, the technical team requires an additional week to review the public's memoranda.

Are you still pretending there is something to talk about? Opening servers is just a noise in your head- keep talking to yourself. If you still think you won the election, ask our Supreme Court or U S ambassador to Kenya. High standard of living is real- I give you that but, a bunch of eaters seating around a table, getting paid allowances and free lunch ain't gonna cut it. That's a lie. High standard of living is a global phenomenon that is a headache to many countries not just Kenya. It will require economic ingenuity and political economic maneuvers that are both external and internal- touching on the balance of trade. A Raila initiated self serving Kalonzo/Ichungwa sit down talk is a waste of time and people's money. The elephant in the room is corruption in the country. How come corruption is not in the agenda? Raila, as the mother of all corruption in Kenya always stays clear of that subject. Welcome to your fake dialogue- looking for something to eat. Think about it, in a country of more than 50 million people, only the son of Kalonzo and the daughter of Raila were the most fit to be selected for the East African Parliament. Keep the dialogue alive. Even a pastor talks people out of their hard earned money- by the time he quits talking and you leave the church, your wallets are empty.
Hii shetani ibilisi need to just take option number 3 which Ruto said.Hakuna nusu mkate shetani ashidwe.
What's the purpose of bipartisan talks?....Election was done & the Country is moving, what's else does Rao want???
