KANU Leaders Threaten to Withdraw Support for Deputy President William Ruto

A section of Kenya African National Union (KANU) from West Pokot county have threatened to retract their support for Deputy President William Ruto.
Speaking on Wednesday, the leaders accused the DP of leaving them out of President Uhuru's inauguration held at Kasarani Stadium on Tuesday.
Led by Nominated Member of County Assembly (MCA) Elijah Kaseuseu, the leaders lamented that they were not invited to the fete despite supporting President Uhuru and Deputy President William Ruto in their reelection campaigns.
They said that Jubilee Party mandated deputy county commissioners to pick leaders who would attend the swearing in ceremony, instead of contacting them as the local leaders. Kaseuseu accused Ruto and a number of Jubilee leaders in West Pokot of 'playing divisive and petty politics' after Uhuru's victory.
"They used us during campaigns and after elections they opted to use deputy county commissioners for the inauguration,” Kaseuseu stated.
"Ninety-five percent of Jubilee leaders attended the swearing-in while KANU MCAs were sidelined," he added.
The President and DP assumed office for their second term after being sworn in in an oath administered by Chief Registrar of Judiciary Anne Amadi and in the presence of Chief Justice David Maraga.

Is that why you supported Jubilee? So that you can attend the inauguration? Come on.There are bigger issues than that.Attending the fete only benefits afew, but building schools, roads, hospitals, basically the infrastracture helps the whole community. Take 3 years before you decide if Jubilee has delivered on its promise to you or not.Hey take the whole 5 years, then decide at the next election.

save us time, the DP ability can not be equivalent to including you to the fete of Uhuru but what he will do to the community you are representing in county Assembly
