Nairobi: Husband Kills a Man After Catching Him in a Steamy Encounter with His Wife

A 48-year-old Nairobi man is facing murder charges after he caught another man with his wife on their matrimonial bed and killed him.
Samuel Musungu, a casual laborer in Runda returned home in the neighboring Githogoro settlement unannounced on Sunday night, only to find a man sleeping with his spouse.
In a fit of rage, Musungu reached for a piece of rock and hit the man at the back of his head, killing him on the spot, police said.
Neighbors and Nyumba Kumi elders who heard the commotion rushed to the scene, but it was too late to save the man’s life.
The deceased man was later identified as Nashon Mudovi, a 40-year-old casual laborer in the Runda neighborhood.
“It’s something out of a horror movie. It’s horrible. It’s a nightmare,” Nyumba Kumi Chairman Richard Wamalwa said.
Detectives based at DCI Gigiri and the duty officer Runda rushed to the scene and launched a search for Musungu, who was arrested hours later.
The suspect is being processed to answer to charges of murder contrary to Section 203 as read with Section 204 of the Penal Code.

Did I read that Musungu is being sought for murder? How? He did not plan it this is simply a crime of passion. If I were the judge I would sentence him to 2 hours of unsupervised probation and suspend 119 seconds of the sentence.

Anyway, I dont know if crime of passion is on the Books in Kenya. I know for sure it was scrapped off in USA... Rare, but there have been cases where someone planned murder to look like acrime of passion...
Well, suppose she was moonlighting as a sex worker un be known to her husband...One thing we know for sure is that she was cheating on her husband.
Non the less, the killer should be punished .Impetuous act that result in bodly harm should not be encouraged. Iknow I will get attacks from mainly christians, and afew moral minority;but you dont own your wife. She is as much an individual as you are. When people get married, it is assumed that they will have,in most cases exclusive sexual relationships. But two people despite the union, have totally different, and independent minds... Marriage is risky for sure, all these vows are pretty much a formality to appease the community, but in reality hardly people abide by them at least all of them...
Now the husband is akiller, and probably will go to jail, and the wife will continue with her "fun". Again folks, know someone very well before you tie the knot...Granted people change,we all do,but right at the offset one should know what they are getting into...
If the dead man looked at this woman as "easy mean", he paid dearly for it. And if he was an ex,popping in for goodtimes sake...this should be a warning to exes.Stay away. That's why you are an X.
Yes,like Iam fond of saying,"nothing good comes out of cheating". It's usually, just amatter of time.My two pennies.

Comrade Maxiley,
We have commented on this issue several times.
I UNDERSTAND, yes,it's MURDER. But, this guy comes home from work ,tired and frustrated, based on his economic STATUS.
As men, we are wired that we are the providers, women receive, that's how we've been taught. It's hard for any man to just walk away. The issue as men we forget that there's more to just wealth. Women need more attention, passion and love. Sometimes ,we tend to think that we own them, based on the fact that we have to pay these high dowery prices.
But, lesson number one to men, IF YOU GO A HOUSE THAT YOU DON'T PAY RENT OR ANY BILLS, PLEASE DROP YOUR PANTS TO YOUR KNEES,JUST INCASE THERE'S A KNOCK ON THE DOOR, BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW MUCH WE PREACH, IT SEEMS LIKE THE LITTLE HEAD TAKES OVER, OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

@ Kora Kanini, you are right we are conditioned to be providers, but its conditional. It's contingent upon the wife carrying her end, cooking, cleaning the house, giving the husband bedroom fun,and not to "musungu"...
So it comes down to failed expectations, aspirations, and of course betrayal...

Adultery is a risky affair as it is always accompanied by death or permanent cripplement.Examples are a DO and OCS in Kakamega and Spring Valley,Nairobi respectively being killed by their juniors for fucking their(juniors) wives.Adulterers are always mislead by a reasoning of-TWO GROWNUPS AGREEMENT but that senseless reasoning doesn’t remind them of DEATH PUNISHMENT ON THE SPOT.It doesn’t matter the number of years Musungu will serve but vet.Mudovi will NEVER FURK another man’s wife FULLSTOP

@ danger Zone, I disagree that adulterers are always mislead by reasoning of TWO GROWNUPS AGREEMENT...
Agreeing to do"it" is a by product of many things gone wrong such as alienation of affection, revenge, falling out of love, marrying for wrong reasons, incapacitated spouse, poverty, greener pastures...etc.
Like I said elsewhere,as much as cheating is prevalence,it is at least "frowned "upon by society. That's why cheating is usually done in secrecy...
Remember that there are rules,AGREEMENTS and vows made in a marriage. Those are the ones that should be applicable. If a marriage fails, and divorce/separation takes place, then one can make new TWO GROWNUPS AGREEMENT,not before then.

Spontaneous Crime of Passion! Cheating in itself should be criminalized; it’s painful, violating , agonizing etc. Why not separate or divorce & get into another relationship than cheat?
Every human being has a limit of tolerance to pain, humiliation, upset and stress. I can’t judge this guy for hitting him! It’s a natural reaction, not, an impulse nor pre-meditated.

I think so too. If this is Musungu's house (sio kwa dame), this Mutovi guy was trespassing....provoking Musungu to do what he did... Why on earth would a guy go to another man's house to lay his wife? You don't steal right under the nose of the owner. But yet then, Musungu should have dealt with the real problem in his hands; the wife....now the problem might still persists....

Hahahaha @ pigsfarm, as a defender, you have to give a lawyer something to work with. We dont know alot here. Suppose somebody did whisper to the husband that," rush home, and you will find the fellow that we have been telling your Fxxk your wife..." The fellow now is mad and plans to kill the fellow. This could be premeditated murder.
One the other hand if he just happened to be home early and found the man on top of him wife, and attacked the husband to create room for escape,I could see self defense there...
