UK-Based Kenyan Preacher Under Probe for Selling Covid-19 ‘Protection Oil’ for £91

Authorities in the UK have opened a probe against a church belonging to a Kenyan preacher for allegedly selling coronavirus “plague protection kits.”

Bishop Climate Ministries, which is part of the Kingdom Church located on Camberwell Station Road in south London, is selling the kits made of oil and red string for £91, according to Southwark News.

The church operated by self-declared prophet Climate Irungu Wiseman, claims the product protects people from Covid-19.

“It is by faith that you can be saved from the Coronavirus pandemic by covering yourself with the Divine Plague Protection Oil and wearing the Scarlet Yarn on your body,” the ministry says on its website.

“That is why I want to encourage you, if you haven’t done so already, to get your Divine Plague Protection Kit today!”

The ministry goes on to claim that the Lord instructed Irungu to make the “special oil.” The ointment is allegedly made of cedarwood, hyssop and “prayer.”

“As you use this oil, along with a special scarlet yarn, every coronavirus and any other deadly thing will pass over you,” states the ministry in a post.

In bold red capital letters, the post adds: “Use the plague protection oil for protection from coronavirus.”

Southwark Council’s Councillor Victoria Mills said an investigation into the church’s claims is underway.

“It is wrong for anyone to exploit people’s fears at this time of high anxiety and we encourage people to report any issues like this to London Trading Standards,” she told Southwark News.

“This particular issue is already under investigation by our teams. There are many scams relating to COVID-19 and the council will be working hard to support consumers to be on guard for bogus test kits, cures and treatments, and other financial scams.”

Phone calls and an email to the ministry seeking comment about the coronavirus protection kit went unanswered.

Hehehe! Divine Plague Protection using some snake oil and yarn. Darn! this beats the other preacher (Ng'an'ga) who only heals with a guitar in a closed confined space.

If this white christianity was income generating, Kenya would be a first world country. What is this Kool-aid Kenyans drink that we even forget we had our Gods long before the Bible came along. Those who brought this Christianity no longer have interest in the "Kool-aid" they created alafu mtu napeleka ushenzi UK thinking they can con a few instead of keeping their stupidity within the confines of their village.

And the preachers of darkness such as the one in Jones Town in Guayana that killed over 900 followers with cool-aid laced with cyanide have been around for many years. I wonder how people get conned to a point they can no longer think reasonably.

The best conmen/conwomen in the world are found in the church. It is all a game to manipulate people. You are your own salvation. Critical thinking is in short supply when it comes to religion. Anything else is nothing but a con game to enrich themselves. My philosophy in life is as following: work hard in your life, love one another, treat others with respect and dignity. Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you. As for religion: it is the oldest congame ever in human civilization.
