NASA Tells Supporters to Boycott Premises Bearing President Uhuru's Portrait

National Super Alliance (NASA) Chief Executive Officer Norman Magaya has now told supporters to boycott premises and businesses bearing President Uhuru Kenyatta's portrait.

Speaking on Citizen TV on Wednesday, the Nasa head of secretariat said the move will be part of showing that they do not recognize Uhuru as their President.

Magaya further added that the move will be part if their resistance to anything attributed to the Jubilee administration.

“We will require our supporters to avoid businesses with Uhuru’s portrait given NASA does not recognize him,” he said.

Traditionally, businesses ranging from banking institutions, schools, hotels and government offices usually have a portrait of the President, who is the symbol of the unity in the country.

Nasa has indicated it will embark in a campaign to disregard President Uhuru government through demonstrations, picketing and economic sabotage through products/services boycott if firms it accuses of being part of a regime created through fraud.

"We are considering beginning a period of economic boycott of products and corporations that are working against the interest of Kenyans," Raila said last month.

"Big corporations are part and parcel of killing democracy in Kenya. We have the power and if they want to stifle our democracy, we can retaliate," he added.

Magaya further said their demonstrations will resume next week to push the government to agree to a fresh election in 90 days. "If Uhuru thought we were just talking, he should await form a bombshell very soon," he further added.
