We do have two countries in one--People's republic of Kenya and Central Republic of Kenya.

In neighboring Uganda the Forum for Democratic Change adamantly prepared to "swear-in" Kizza Besigye "as president," officials in government were dismissing the opposition party's actions as desperate.

According to the Electoral Commission, FDC's Besigye lost to President Museveni in the February 18 election, but the party rejected those official results. On the following Tuesday after the election, the executive director of the Uganda Media Centre, Ofwono Opondo, described as "an exercise in futility" the insistence by FDC that Besigye would take his own oath of office the same day that Museveni, the legally-elected president, would take up the instruments of power.

Besigye eventually beat the surveillance of his Kasangati home and turned up in downtown Kampala, FDC officials saying he had gone "to greet his supporters" after taking his oath of office. The FDC-founding president was arrested and, according to reports, flown to Moroto district in the far-flung Karamoja sub-region.

Early the following thursday morning, a video emerged showing Besigye's purported "swearing-in ceremony." In the video,Besigye was seen walking up to a podium and a lady in judicial garb guiding him through the oath. After that, Besigye signs a document bearing the court of arms and titled, 'oath of allegiance."

Seated behind Besigye were a number of senior FDC officials, including party chairman Wasswa Biriggwa, Leader of Opposition in Parliament Wafula Oguttu, FDC Secretary for Mobilisation Ingrid Turinawe, Busia Woman MP Kevina Taaka, Kumi MP Patrick Amuriat and Tororo MP Geoffrey Ekanya, who was the national chairman of Besigye's 2016 presidential campaign task force.

And yet again UHURU is the winner , This voting event was largely peaceful even though we had
few incidents of violence on some parts of the country. I am proud of our security for maintaining the
peace and also at the same time encouraging them to anticipate for anything out of the ordinary.

on making Government institutions run effective for example roads ministry , the education ministry , the healthy ministry and many others , Our Government should make sure our economy is in good shape and also our
security need to be completely overhauled to reflect the changing times .The Gova should appoint competitive and agile
personnel to run our Government institutions.

Maybe in a banana republic far from the equator. Now nasa wants to use the result that SC described as having "irregularities and illegalities" not a fresh one in 90 days as baba said in CNN? They swear Raila Odinga as president, and I swear I shall swear in my wife as president of Kenya on the same day, so it will be 3 presidents of Kenya at the same time but 2 will be fake presidents.

Tribalism is the bane of Kenya.We have shamelessly degenerated back to "tribal days.
I dont understand why our leaders as educated as they are cannot come together,and build taifa...,find solutions to what ills us.Or do we want mzungu to show us how?

Wananchi have serious problems such as poor medical facilities, unemployment,housing,utilities,corruption,immorality. And all these vices/evils know no tribe.Like Obama used to tell republicans, if you have a better idea that can help all americans, bring it.
Jubilee may have its short comings just like any government,but no one can doubt that it has made some progress to kenya.Iam sure Uhuru is not dumb, if Raila has solid productive ideas, Uhuruto would be stupid not to engage them. Wananchi are watching.
