IEBC to Relocate Its Headquarters from Nairobi CBD

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is set to relocate its headquarters from Nairobi central business district.
IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati said the electoral commission will move its main offices from the Anniversary Towers to a location outside the city centre to enable it conduct its mandate effectively.
Speaking on Wednesday when he appeared before the National Assembly’s Justice and Legal Affairs Committee, Chebukati said the agency will either purchase or construct a building that will house it headquarters.
“The Commission is in the process of the relocation of the IEBC Headquarters from Anniversary Towers to premises outside the CBD owned by the Commission. This will serve a number of purposes one of which will be to save the tax payer a lot of money in the payment of rent,” he stated.
The IEBC boss further noted that the move will bring to an end disruptions to other businesses in the city centre as witnessed during last year's anti-IEBC demonstrations staged by the Opposition.
“The IEBC of course is an independent organization which has a lot of interests and more often than not, there are those who are dissatisfied and want to picket and demonstrate. We feel that being in the CBD has been of disservice to other business users and others so we need to be somewhere out there,” he stated.

Before the IEBC offices are relocated, we must make sure that Criminal Wafula Chebukati is in Kamiti prison for life without parole! This is the thug who messed up the August 8th election!
By the way, have they found out the criminals who killed Chris Msando and Jacob Juma?
